What the receipt proves

A receipt code identifies an accepted anonymous ballot envelope. Successful verification means the envelope is present and its stored integrity values can be checked. It does not reveal the voter or selections and does not prove how a person voted.

How to verify

Open the public receipt-verification page, enter the code exactly and submit. Keep the code private enough to avoid unnecessary disclosure, although it contains no selections.

When verification fails

Check for transcription error and try again. A missing or invalid result may mean the code is wrong, the ballot was not accepted or the record requires investigation. Report the issue promptly with the receipt code and technical details, but do not provide ballot choices.

Privacy

Do not publish receipt codes together with a voter’s identity. Although the application does not link a receipt to the voter, public self-disclosure could create unnecessary participation evidence.
